Brighten graduated from Reedley College with an A.S. in Computer Science. They worked as a computer programmer early in their career before starting at American West Books and Familius, a book publishing and wholesale company.

They are in Minnesota but are originally from California. They are primarily focused on web development but enjoy working with a wide variety of fields. Having been a tutor of computer science at Reedley College, they enjoy working with others, teaching, and always growing to become a better person, coder, and leader.
